Data is at the heart of a precision farming system, but for many farmers it is not in their hearts. For those who like to handle their own data we can supply suitable software and for those that don't Soilessentials has a full GIS office. Data should be automatically collected cheaply during normal farming operations and easily stored, viewed or manipulated. Cropping problems should be discovered very early and tracability records automated. There is no point in collecting data if it is not easy to view and act upon. All data must be in industry standard formats and compatible with the largest collection possible of third parties.
